Blayre Speaks at 16th Annual Ultimate Trial Notebook Seminar

On November 13, 2020, Blayre was a panelist at the 16th Annual Ultimate Trial Notebook speaking on Trial Preparation in the New Age. Trial and hearing preparation has significantly changed since Covid. Beginning March 2020, in-person jury trials were cancelled and all hearings and bench trials have been held remotely over Zoom or Microsoft Teams. As of the date of this update, in-person jury trials have been postponed by the Texas Supreme Court until at least March of 2021.

Blayre, along with her co-panelist the Honorable Judge Soifer and Karen Burgess, provided attendees valuable information about the nuances in preparing for a virtual hearing compared to an in-person hearing.

The Ultimate Trial Notebook is an annual event that has earned a reputation for being a premier continuing education seminar with well known and well seasoned judges and trial attorneys offering insight to the trial experience from voir dire to closing arguments. In addition to speaking, Blayre moderated the all day seminar. Blayre has chaired the planning of this event for the last three years.
